A Framework for Understanding Human Experience Within Living Systems

FSRT offers a language for understanding how human beings organize, adapt, regulate, suffer, heal, and participate within biological, relational, cultural, ecological, and larger living systems.

Instead of beginning with the isolated individual, FSRT begins with the relationships among systems; and with the conditions that shape what a person can currently perceive, tolerate, express, and sustain.

The Foundational Proposition

A person cannot be fully understood apart from the biological, psychological, relational, cultural, ecological, and larger systems in which their experience develops.

These systems continuously influence one another. A change in one part of the field may alter what becomes possible elsewhere, while unresolved demands in one system may create regulatory burdens across many others.

FSRT therefore understands human experience as relational, contextual, adaptive, and continually emerging—not as something produced by the isolated individual alone.
